Book Lists

San Francisco Public Library and The Contemporary Jewish Museum partnered to create booklists for children in preschool–8th grade that celebrate Jewish culture. Share Jewish life and culture through stories of coming of age, disability, intercultural families, history, fantasy, diverse Jewish life, and antisemitism. Integrate these books into a library or classroom connection during JAHM or all year round.

The Jewish Book Council has also created a fantastic list of books for children and adults.

Toolkits

A great roundup of lessons, videos, and resources from organizations across the country for Teaching Jewish Culture and History, in one handy document, including resources from our very own Contemporary Jewish Museum.

The Jewish American Heritage Month website offers a
toolkit full of sample social media posts, graphics, and logos for sharing JAHM.

The Jewish American Heritage Month Website also offers a wide array of lesson plans created by partners such as the Jewish Museum, the Anti Defamation League, the Association of Jewish Libraries, the Skirball, and more. Topics range from immigration to heritage to antisemitism to Jewish American luminaries.

Created by an elementary school teacher, this slide deck features Jewish holidays and celebrations.
